Gardening has always been a part of my life.  My earliest memories involve having adventures in our yard. In a house with three brothers, we spent a lot of time outdoors. We grew up digging and planting, and watching the flowers burst into bloom.  My passion for gardening continued to grow throughout my adult years.

To me, gardening is an art and our properties are the canvas. The possibilities in a landscape are virtually limitless: the gardener can create almost anything from a peaceful escape to a personal vegetable garden.
Plants and flowers are what we use to transform our properties into our own little oasis.  They allow us to personalize our own little space.I love the feeling of stepping back and seeing how the hard work has transformed my yard from plain to beautiful. Gardening is hard work and takes time. Although most people are drawn to the aesthetic appeal of a garden, it is often hard to find the time to maintain a garden.

My Dream: Accessible Gardens for Everyone

7 years ago we moved into a brand new subdivision in Brampton. I launched right into preparing my garden, digging, planting and building them. It was back breaking work but the results were stunning. Each week, I would commit countless hours to weeding and maintaining these gardens. As I toiled away, I realized that this was not an attainable or easy task for the average home-owner.

Gardening is a lot of work! But I knew there had to be a way to bring beautiful gardens to the homes of everyone.  I’ve watched neighbours and friends struggle year after year, often beginning with the best intention but then becoming overwhelmed as the season progresses.  Most people don’t have the time to maintain their gardens.  I kept thinking there has to be an easier way. There had to be a way to garden, so that the average person can create beauty with less maintenance.Everyone should be able to enjoy the feeling of self-accomplishment, paired with the beauty and relaxation that comes from having a garden. I brought up my dilemma with my brother Ken, and together we brainstormed the possibilities of a fast and easy system.
